What time of day should I take Clarityn®?
The product can be taken any time of the day. Always follow the label directions.
Should I take the product with food?
The product can be taken with or without food.
Can I cut or break the Clarityn® or Clarityn-D® tablet in half?
Do not cut or break Clarityn®️/Clarityn-D®️ tablet in half.
Can I take more than a recommended dose of Clarityn®?
Do not take more than the recommended dose—always follow label directions.
In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison center control right away.
What if my symptoms return before I am supposed to take another dose?
Do not take another dose.
Is Clarityn® the same as Zyrtec® , Telfast® or Xyzal®?
Clarityn® products contain the active ingredient loratadine. Clarityn® is not the same as Zyrtec®, Telfast® or Xyzal®, which all contain different active ingredients.
Is Clarityn® or Clarityn-D® non-drowsy?
When taken as directed, all Clarityn® products are non-drowsy.

What is the difference in the formulas for each form?
Clarityn®️ Tablets and Children’s Clarityn®️ Syrup all have the same active ingredient: loratadine (an antihistamine ). The inactive ingredients differ in each form. We offer a variety of forms depending on your age and preference. Clarityn-D®️ contains two active ingredients: loratadine (an antihistamine) and pseudoephedrine (a nasal decongestant ).
What is the difference between Clarityn® and Clarityn®-D?
Clarityn® contains an antihistamine (loratadine) while Clarityn-D contains both an antihistamine (loratadine) and an oral decongestant (pseudoephedrine) which is suitable for patients experiencing a blocked/stuffy nose 1,2

Can Clarityn® be used in children?
Yes, Clarityn syrup can be used for children above 2 years old.
Why is there a spelling difference between Clarityn® in Singapore and Clarityne® in Malaysia? Are they the same?
Clarityn® and Clarityne® are both trademarks of Bayer for Loratadine 10 mg, the active ingredient of the product. Clarityn® is registered in HSA (MOH), as intended for consumers in Singapore, and Clarityne® on the other hand is registered to a different local drug authority and registration process, for example Malaysia (MOH).
Clarityn® and Clarityne® from Singapore and Malaysia are produced from the same site.
